The London Trip Days 2 and 3

Photographic images of the schools visit to London have arrived through the magic of the internet. So we get to see the exciting things they have been doing over the past couple of days.

A visit to The London Transport Museum gave the children an insight into the development of public transport in London over the past century.

I'm not sure who was having the most fun at Madame Tussaud's, but Mrs Rankin and Ms Trevor seem to have found a kindred spirit in Jim Carey.

Here we see the children taking a tour of the Churchill War Rooms.

The above photos show the children having a wonderful time at Rotherhithe Primary School. Rotherhithe is in the heart of South East London and during the visit the children met the pupils and staff, took part in a project and joined in some dancing. As you can see from the decorations in the hall, the pupils work as hard as our own children to create a wonderful atmosphere. The school, its staff and pupils, made the pupils and staff of Bowhill very welcome and it is a partnership we shall be developing in years to come.

The London Trip 2013

Once again our children from years 5 and 6 have been given the opportunity to go on the London Trip. A residential trip that takes in visits to the famous sites of London such as the London Eye and The Shard, Museums including The London Transport Museum, The Churchill War Rooms, The Pumphouse Educational Museum and Madame Tussauds, plus visits to the theatre to see The Lion King and Stomp!.

The children will also be dining at The Rainforest Cafe, taking a boat trip down the Thames, and visiting Buckingham Palace.

The children are lucky to be looked after by some fantastic members of staff (Mr Burnard, Mrs Pollard, Mrs Perryman, Mrs Luxton, Mrs Rankin, Ms Trevor and Mr Webber) who have given up their time to make sure the children have a thoroughly enjoyable few days in one of the biggest and most exciting cities in the world.

Mr Webber has emailed some photos through of the first 24 hours in the The Big Smog.

The children look in awe at one of the most recent additions to the City skyline - The Shard.

The children cross Waterloo Bridge. The BFI Imax cinema can be seen at the end of the bridge in the background and to the left is BFI Southbank and the National Theatre.

More photos will follow throughout the week.
